St. Marys (AB) - Upper II

The river is pretty melow with some fun smaller play as you go waves. the waves and features keep you smiling for about 2/3 of the run and the last fun wave hole rapid finishes at Kimball cliffs where you can get out and jump (30-ish feet). After this point the river becomes a class I float until Kimball campground.

49.088516, -113.224126 Park at Kimball Campground just south east of Cardston, off of highway 501.

Put In

49.041661, -113.251814 Continue south on the gravel roads following the river access signs, which is a stick man carrying a canoe. This should lead you to a new river access road off range road 252.

Flow Information

River is fed from St Mary's lake in Montana and tends to be pretty warm. It usually keeps consistent seasonal flows and can run from Spring into late summer. Low - 20cms High - 100+cms
