Pipestone River - River wide log

June 16, 2015 At the first major S bend there is still a lot of wood on the river left hand side which you can avoid by going hard right. The real hazard is at the end of the S bend where the river turns left and you are forced by the current to the right hand side into this river wide log. This is where last year you could paddle underneath the log as it was wedged above normal river levels in high flow. That log is now in the water covering 7/8 of the river and there is another log in the river after it. Yes there is a sneak line but unless you are a solid boater I would not paddle this section. Scout this section!
