Simon here from Aquabatics Calgary. I just wanted to touch base and let you know that in partnership with Paddle Alberta Paddling ABC is now officially 'off hiatus'. Off the bat you will notice the new colour scheme, along with an improved river level reporting system, mainly in the sense that is is now super fast and most sections are updated every 5 - 10 minutes.
We have also added a flatwater section to the River Wiki, to help generate a resource for recreational paddler and those wanting to explore the mellower side that paddlesports can offer. This project is going to take some time to become all PA and AQ want it to be, but we are both committing resources, money and time to continue building this amazing resource that Eric Howey started and ran so well for so many years.
It is an exciting partnership for us all and we look forward to continuing to improve the site and build it into a world class paddlesports resource.
If you have any thoughts, comments or feedback as the season progresses we would love to hear from you. A huge thanks to Eric for the time and energy he put into this project, we look forward to carrying on the this site into the future.
Enough chatter, rivers are coming up, time to go paddling!
